Dr. Dan Diaco has been practicing in South Tampa for many years and has seen just how hectic his office gets when Christmas time approaches. Instead of some new clothes or nice cologne, an overwhelming number of people ask Santa for tummy tucks, liposuction and breast enhancement surgery.

According to Dr. Diaco, the top procedures requested by men are “Bro-tox,” AKA Botox for men, chemical peels, Juvederm, and facelifts.
But let’s not forget about the ladies. Women love to be pampered and most women would like to change a thing or two on their bodies. Giving a plastic surgery gift certificate is a simple way for them to choose what they would like to have done, be it a butt lift or liposuction.

“I think it’s a great gift, especially for the holidays. You’re kind of starting a whole new year. It can be a brand new you, a fresh start,” said patient Natalie Martinez, 25.

With each passing year, Dr. Diaco has noticed an increase in the number of plastic surgeries being given as holiday gifts. The top two are currently breast augmentations and tummy tucks.

“Their face lights up,” he said. “They get excited. It changes their lives. They buy all new clothes and they’re very happy about showing off their new physique.”
