Many strange stories begin with “Did you hear about the…” like “Did you hear about the car that crashed into the ocean?” or “Did you hear about the cat that beat up two dogs?” However, not many people can say “Did you hear about the woman whose life was saved by her breast implants?” Well, if you haven’t heard the story yet, you are in for quite a treat.
We all know cosmetic surgery is supposed to make you look and feel more confident, but I bet you didn’t know it could help save your life. Just ask the 41-year-old Brevard County woman who wouldn’t be alive to tell the story today if it wasn’t for her breast implants.
According to reports, the victim was attacked by her ex-fiancé’s current 22-year-old girlfriend, Amy Winter, outside of his Melbourne apartment. Winter first tried scratching the victim’s car and then proceeded to stab her repeatedly in the chest with a pocket knife.
Not many would have survived such a vicious attack, but according to doctors, the victim’s implants prevented her from incurring life-threatening injuries.
Perhaps plastic surgeons are going about their marketing campaigns all wrong. Maybe, instead of promoting the aesthetic benefits of cosmetic surgery, they should be advertising it’s life-saving capabilities.
All jokes aside, some plastic surgeries actually do help save lives. Take liposuction for instance. Not only do liposuction patients get to reap the benefits of looking spectacular, but what not many people know is that lipo can actually improve a patient’s health.
Removing excess and unwanted fat goes beyond the physical aspect of looking good, liposuction can actually reduce a patient’s chances of having heart disease by getting rid of stubborn fat that may contribute to cardiac arrest, high cholesterol and other diseases. If that’s not a good excuse to get liposuction, I don’t know what is.
If you would like to see all the many ways in which liposuction can change your life for the better, turn to a leading and Board Certified doctor today for a consultation.
